Wind generation has developed into two distinct applications: huge wind generators for commercial wind farms and small generators for homes and rural farms/small businesses. The current FIT tariffs for wind generation are tailored principally to the commercial wind generation business model and, as of December, 2009, it appears that some work is being done at the Ontario Power Authority to review that, and possibly offer a higher tariff for small wind generators.
